Example of Conflict Resolution:

Two managers had over a long period of time build up a mutually strained relationship. This showed through sparse communication and lack of cooperation. The result was that the department did not reach the targets and colleagues felt divided.
A conflict resolution meeting with the two leaders, their leader and a consultant from Strategy & People was set up.
First step each manager told their view on the matter and subsequently they clarified misunderstandings. Then they talked about expectations and agreed on their differences.
 

The result was that the two managers, with the tools of communication they had with them from the meeting, slowly rebuild trust and genuine cooperation for the benefit of themselves, their colleagues and the company.
